
Painting Juried Into the OPA National Show
I just learned that my painting "Gifted Oranges," Oil, 24 x 30 in., was juried into the 2017 Oil Painters of America National Exhibition. It is being held this year at Eisele Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio, opening May 12.

Thursday Night Co-op at Studio Recchion
I just finished and signed this painting today. "Thursday Night Co-op at Studio Recchion," Oil, 30 x 24 in. I guess this is a celebration of what is often a common experience for me (as it is for most artists). I will be facing one direction painting a subject posing for my benefit, but I turn and see something far more interesting. Sonoran Plein Air Painters Show
We had our opening today of the Sonoran Plein Air Painters (formerly the Tucson Plein Air Painters Society) exhibition at Murphey Gallery at St. Philips In The Hills, Tucson. We had a great turnout. We hung the show yesterday, and had to limit each member to two medium size (or three extra small) paintings. One of mine was a 16 x 20 of an agave that I painted in my back yard.
